Donation of electric devices to vocational school for adults with disabilities

In July 2015, CPW organized its first CSR activity by donating to a vocational school for adults with disabilities located in No. 65, Kyite Wine Pagoda Road, Mayangone Township, Yangon, Myanmar. The school was opened by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement since 1954. The School provides training to disabled adults based on their interests and type of disability.

In Myanmar, there are many disabled people who are unemployed and depend on others, such as parents of family members. CPW believes that donating electronic devices is the most appropriate way to fulfil the needs of disabled adults.By studying and practising with these devices, they will be able to develop their skills so that they can find better paid jobs and become independent.

On July 23 a team from CPW visited the school and donated the following devices:

  • 1 digital copier
  • 2 laser printers
  • 2 laptops
  • 1 Panasonic office communication system
  • 2 SonyCD writers
  • 2 UPS
  • 1 currency counter
  • 1 fax machine
  • CPW set up a fund to buy a new multifunction printer and accessories which was dominated to the school on the same day The members of the school were very glad to receive the donation.
