Donation of umbrellas to protect children from strong sunshine

In March 2015, CPW joined a program with one of the local philanthropic groups to donate to an orphanage at a monastery in KyunOoKhattiya Village, Nyaung Tone Township, Ayeyarwaddy Division. This monastery provides care and protection as well as education to 326 orphans and impoverished children.

In Myanmar, the ultraviolet index in summer is approaching dangerously high levels (nearly 12 in March), and with the rainy season starting soon after in June, CPW believed that donating umbrella to the orphanage would help fulfil to the needs of children.

Each member of staff donated between 1 to 20 umbrellas with the CPW logo which were then presented to the monastic school on March 22.The children were very happy to receive the brightly colored umbrellas which has been lovingly prepared. On the same day, CPW staff also made personal donations of clothes, slippers, snacks,et.
